This fall has us with a few new faces, and the loss of one of our older ones. Here's the crew on November 16, 2013.

Da Puppa WOO! Killing his lobster. Tough guy.

Awwww....Puppy Lutro. He'll be 11 this coming spring...the years sure have flown by.

Poor Mr. Maheono...he's all by himself this afternoon! Lutro normally has the run of all 3 main yards plus the house, at his request, so he's out front right now...and Avatar is hanging out with Jupiter this week.
Ono is still doing awesome, at 13. He's slowed down a bit, but still loves to play.

Avatar D will be a teen too, in February. Here he is, keeping Jupiter company.
"Do you like what we've done to the place? Our bed is much more comfy with the stuffing on the *outside*!"

Oh, Jupie.
"Cookie? COOKIE??"

Shy but gentle Timber made it to 14 1/2. He hardly even showed his age until his last few days...when he began to look really tired and sleep a lot. He went to sleep on Nov 4th and didn't wake up the next morning.
Goodnight, buddy. You were a lovely old wolfer.

Miss Matsi has survived another companion. When her mama passed, she wouldn't accept anyone but her Uncle Timber. She spent over a week moping in her den, after he passed, so she was moved to a maximum-security escape-proof adjustment pen today. (Sometimes moving an animal whose companion has recently passed can trigger them to try really hard to get out, and go looking for the lost mate.)
She actually seems to be enjoying the move, though, and is very interested in her new surroundings!

Oh Boy! The Motley Housepack!

This yard is for three ancient wolfdogs (Solowolf, 14...Orion, about 15...and Sierra, who turned 17 today! Happy Birthday, Sierra!!), young Aussie dingo Valentine, yearling New Guinea Singing Dog Firefly (aka Little Bug), and our gooberhead Rottie/pit mix Gretchen. Half-wolf Lutro also makes a regular appearance.

Solo and Little Bug:

I Loves Yooooo!

Cute little Firefly...

Vali-gator comin to get you!

"Ok, nevermind, I'll get the Bug!"

Starting to gain on Solo, a little... Dingoes are "small dogs" by my standards, at about 35-40 pounds...but they make up for it in sass!

Attack of the GooberPups.

~Vali's not good at much, yet...but she IS good at being adorable.

Sweet old Orion. :-)

Want your din-dins, Orion?

"Sigh...I'm surrounded..."

Senile but sassy, our little Sierra is still not looking or acting her age! I guess you're only as old as you feel.
"WOO WOOO WOOOOO! Where's my dinner??"

Eating her birthday catfood. Looks like being unmolested by cats while you're eating just isn't gonna happen around here. ~

Melbourne can't wait to give kisses.

Melly is a bit bored right now, being separated from her brother since she's not spayed yet and it's nearly dingo breeding season!
Fortunately, she loves to get attention from *people*

...and play with toys.

Let's visit BEARBear! Bear is such an awesome dingo.
"Pleeeeeze come see me!!"

Kisssss-essssss...

"YAY! You're here!"

Playing with toys

What a jump!

Bear hugs. :-)

Pepe the cat is one of your tour guides here. (Not sure where Keeper, the other one, is...)
MEOW, says Pepe!

Let's cross the driveway to visit the two shyest foster kids, Journey and Mika.
I see you, Mika.
"NO."

I see you, too, Journey.

Mika and Journey have been moved to the really cool pen up against the forest...although Mika's not as impressed as I'd hoped. (The dogs get rotated regularly to prevent boredom.)
Hiding from YOU...

Check out these great Singers!

Hey, little buddy!

They are so loveable and outgoing. They came without names, but we've temporarily nicknamed them Ricky and Lucy because of how they bicker and carry on. They are very attached to each other, and need to be adopted together...but when they get in each other's way while eating dinner or chasing the cat

they make quite the ruckus! Fortunately, it's all for show, and I've never found a mark on either of them.
Such a sweet boy...

Pretty girl...and just as friendly as he is! This is Firefly's mom; the whole family came here together. Can you see the resemblance? :-)

Pepe likes to sit smugly on the log outside their pen, and drive them absolutely berserk. (Both are VERY prey-driven.) It brings out the possessed-by-demons in them--hopping and twirling and head-flipping! ;-o

SISSY!!
Yep, she's still around...we don't know how old Sissy is, for sure...but she had an 'event' earlier this year and our vet thought she was on her way Home. Amazingly, she's made a full recovery! Here's to maybe a few more years with our Sissy girl. :-)

Sing it, Sissy. :-D

Gretchen wants to know if it's dinnertime yet.
Pretty Please?
